Then and now

Jamie is getting so big. As you all know Travis and Christina had their baby girl yesterday. It just got me thinking. I looked back over Jamie's newborn baby pictures. He's changed so much.

When he was first brought home, there was no way he was ready for his swing. Now, he laugh and smile as he swings away.

We can tickle him getting smiles and laughter everytime. He can hold up his head and wingle himself around. He loves to play with his fishlinks and the toys on his bouncer. We just got him some teething rings that he can hold. He drops them often but he can put it up to his mouth to chew. He talks all the time, to me, the TV, his toys, anything and everything make moves or makes noise. He's a blast. But I have to admit, I sometimes miss the time when he woke to eat and quickly fell to sleep again. Screamless, quiet days.

Hanna + Diva = OUCH!!!

This is Hanna.

This is Diva.

This is what happens when you put Hanna and Diva together.

Monday Hanna had the opportunity to go riding with a family friend, Andy. Andy has been attempting to train Diva for a few months. So Monday they thought they'd see how she was coming along. The story goes that Diva is a brat and decided she'd had enough of Hanna on top of her. She bucked for a good bit before a strap broke which also broke Hanna already shaky hold. She landed on her left side. Her face got a good scrape as well as her hip and arm. Her wrists might be sprained, but thankfully, no bones were broken. She is very sore, but I'd say somewhat proud of her battle wounds.

Needless to say, Diva is no longer residing with the Christensen Clan. This is her third strike. She bucked Dad off when they first got her. Last week, Dad and Andy had her hooked up to a cart. She got spooked and broke several straps. And now she's bucked Hanna. Good-bye Diva.

100 kisses

In celebration of Jamie's 100th day, he was showered in 100 kisses. You are such a good sport buddy. I love you so much. Jamie has come a long way in his short little life.
He can push himself up on his elbows to look around at his world. He can sit in his swing without tipping over. And he loves it. He has the most incredible smile. And we love to hear his laugh which comes easier and more often everyday.

He's getting so big.

We pulled out Jamie's little Bumbo chair last week. As you can see he's not quite big enough. We'd sit him up in it and he's hold himself up for 10 seconds before he fell over again. We'll give it a few more weeks.

However, as you can see he's holding his head very well. Very little does he let it flop around. He's even started to push himself up. His favorite place to be is on his tummy. Lately, he's started to push himself up onto his hands.

Isn't he the cutest? He's holding himself much higher than you can see here, but catching him in the act is all but impossible.

Yesterday was our second anniversary. It has gone by so fast. We are doing well and love being parents. One smile is worth it all. However, being that we're trying to move, I didn't want to get Jason something we'd have to box up and store. So I remembered making an edible bouquet long ago. Jason loves Oreos, Rice Krispies, and gummy bears. So I made my wonderful husband of two years a flower bouquet.

He gave me a gift card to ITUNES so I can finally get some of my favorite songs, without having to but a whole CD just for one song. YAY;) Love you Jason.

2nd Anniversary

Next Tuesday will be our second anniversary. It's been a very fast two years. But fun, busy, and great.

We started out in Heritage Home. When that went south, we moved in with Mom and Dad shortly before Jason left for Vegas. We bought a Condo last July, yes we've already been here a year. We bought a new car and had a baby. I have had a C-scetion, worst fear come to life. And now here we are, all three of us. My little family.

It 's been fun. I wouldn't change it for the world.Thank you for all your love and support. We love you all.
So now I'd like some ideas for a gift for Jason. Last year we went to a B&B in Springdale. This year... I am drawing a blank.
Let me know if you have any good ideas.
And Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad as well, #31!

Moving?

Jason has gotten a job in Vegas. This is definitely good news, but we're still not together. It's been over a year now. So we've decided to rent out our condo here in St. George and get an apartment in Vegas. We've had two inquiries(?) so far. One email, and one walk through. It's only been a few weeks, but we're getting desperate. So if you know of anyone looking for a house, please send them our way.

We love it here, so we're hoping that sooner than later, we'll be able to come back.

We're still here

So last weekend, Christina had her baby shower. We had a blast. She got lots of cute things. I remember my shower, I was full of excitement and wanted the baby to come NOW so I could use all my really cool stuff. I was also full of fear, I didn't know the first thing about being a Mom. Now he's three months and I am definitely in Mom mode. Jason mentioned leaving him with his parents for a few hours when we go up next time. My stomach dropped and I got the shakes. I can't leave my baby yet. Anyway, good luck Christina!!;)
We are now officially doing cloth diapers. It took some doing, but they'are all in working order now. HOLY COW!!! NASTY!!!!! But environmently friendly and hopefully cheaper. They look so cute on him. However, they are much bigger than disposable and therefore, his clothes are a big more snug. I'll have to figure how to deal with that. Maybe go up a size? We'll see. I'll keep you posted.

Jason and I were playing around the other day with Jamie. I don't believe in blackmail, so I'm laying it all out there. It's too cute to resist. Sorry, Jamie.

Sorry, I forgot to turn it. And now that I'm thinking, doesn't Matthew have a picture with his underwear on his head as well? So, this is for you Matt. lol
