Mother's Day gifts

They are finally here!!! A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to get some nice pots and pans for an awesome deal. Well, they are finally here! I have four pots, and two skillets, all with glass lids! YAY! They came with five knives and a block and mini food processor, measuring cups and spoons. Happy Mother's Day to me ;) My in-laws were here this past weekend and brought me these for Mother's day as well. Cute little bracelet- with and fish, turtle, and seashell. It's got some real cool beads. Love it and it matches with everything!
I received this cactus as well. Ron made the pot and plate. I love the red cactus, it's pretty. And the other one looks really fuzzy. I almost want to touch it to see if it's as soft as it looks. But being I'm terrified of needles, no worries. I won't be sticking myself out of mild curiosity. Thanks guys, I love them!

Birthday Party

Monday, my baby boy turned "1". We had a party Monday night with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen, GG and GGpa Grow, Hanna, Gaby, Christina, and Elena. Jamie and Elena had fun playing together before the party.Dad helped Jamie open all his gifts, he didn't even know he had his hat on :).He got a cellphone and keys, a musical giraffe, blocks, links, a blanket, and a car for his car seat (some were regifted from Christmas.) Thank you everybody!I made him a Lego cake this year. It was my first time working with fondant, and maybe my last.
His very own birthday cake. We've been practicing blowing out candles, but this time he decided to use his hand.

Like Father, Like Son.

Mother's Day Weekend

Sunday was Sara's birthday. I made her a butterfly cake with mini cupcakes. I thought it looked cute and the best thing was, it was GONE it less than 10 minutes. YAY!
Sara received a new skirt, a bracelet, and a collage of Jamie pictures.
Jamie received lots of presents from Grandma and Grandpa Chipman. He got new clothes, a stuffed lamb, a camo teddy bear, and the blanket. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa, GG Evans, Tashina, Sara, and Ethan!
And what's a party without cake?

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to our Mom's and Grandma's. This year our grandma's each received one of these. I thought they turned out really cute. The top square says Happy Mother's Day. Followed by a family picture, Jamie, then either Jason and Jamie or the three Christensen babies, depending on who's side of the family the Grandma is on. I had a blast doing them for sure. Now I just need to come up with something for all the Grandpa's. Ideas?

We have a climber

We have a climber. I have kept all my sewing things under the front window while I've been doing all my projects. Well, yesterday Jamie found it all. He is standing on the tub filled with my sewing necesities. And yes, that's his blanket still unfinished on the tub.
The diaper box is filled with old baby toys. He used it the first time to climb up to the window, but quickly figured out that he didn't need it.

Jamie's birthday party

For all those interested:
Jamie's party is next Monday
6:00 PM at our house
Dinner and cake will be served.
Dinner will be a potato bar.
Let me know if you are coming so I can plan for you.
He'll be turning 1!
(Please don't feel obligated to bring a gift, but we are collecting
Walmart giftcards so we can get a forward facing car seat.)
Love you all!
It's finally done! I started collecting and cutting squares for a blanket for Jamie when I found out I was pregnant. Well, yesterday I finally finished sewing the top and tying it. It only took me a year and a half. Now all that's left to do is sewing up the sides. It'll be finished in time for Jamie's birthday next Monday. Yeah!
Now for the sad news. I was working on my Mother's Day Projects Friday night. Jamie was next to me playing on the floor and found the glue gun cord. Before I could grab it, he pulled and the gun swung down and stuck to the inside of his elbow. Pictures don't do it justice, but it looked really bad. We were able to get the glue off Saturday to see that the burn is the size of a quarter and bright red. There is about a pea size portion that burned through his skin. The only thing we can do is put neosporin on it to keep infection out. Two days later, it's looking better and it hasn't seemed to bother him since that night. Thank heaven, I was right there and was able to pull it off quickly.

Jamie

As you can see, Jamie has been busy. He's found my yarn. And he loves to get himself tangled up anf trail it around the house.

We found this little chair at DI last week. We love it. It's his own personal camping chair. It's rigged to be strapped to a kitchen chair. He looks totally cute! We even took it to church today to keep him close. It worked during Singing/sharing time. During class though, he wanted to play with the other children.

Hanging Out

We have been having fun the last few days, just hanging out. We have NCIS, Season 2 that we've been watching. We 're planning to send up to Orem for Ethan, so we've only got a week left to finish it. It's amazing the all the little jokes you understand when you watch the episodes in order.

Of Course!!!

Of course my son would love the most annoying toy we have. Jamie received this Cheetah last Christmas. Being that he received an overload of toys for him, we only kept a few out for him to play with. Digging through my closet the other day, I found this one and thought he'd be old enough to really appreciate it. You are supposed to push the turtle down and it'll roll away. But My son likes to roll it back and forth and back and forth and back . . . It isn't supposed to squeak, it just needs a little oil. But he gets the cutest little smirk on his face and does his little giggle when he hears it. I just don't know that it will have the same appeal if I do get it oiled. We'll see.
