Bunkbeds

After several months of talking and planning, we have finally finished the bunk beds.

Jamie LOVES his new bed. He is thankful for them in his prayers every night.

Jamie gets the top blue bunk.

Brionney gets the bottom pink bunk. She loves her bed as well. She hasn't quite figured out how to get off it yet so she crawls down to the bottom of the bed rail and cries and yells until someone comes to help her. Lucky for me this also means she can't get out when it's bedtime.

Don't they look so good! Jason and I totaled our working hours on these beds and decided it took at least 34 hours. 4 hours a piece with 2 people sanding off the original stain and varnish (16 hours), an additional 2 man job of 4 hours of painting (16 hours), and 2 hours of assembly. So worth it.

Definitely worth their smiles.

Chipman Camping Trip

Our first camping as a family went very well. We were at the KOA in Richfield, UT. Seriously, the campsite was right in the middle of town. Walmart 5 minutes away, electricity, showers and bathrooms, swimming pool, playground, and ATV trails seconds away. My kind of camping. We had a blast.

Jamie found a friend in the adjacent campsite. They played constantly and had lots of fun.

Brionney was just crazy. We couldn't keep her shoes on her (and she loves her shoes) and she likes to be on her head now. Here she is high-centered over the log surrounding the bonfire pit.

We found the playground on Day 2.

This is Jamie's "only is I must" smile. Did it on purpose to mess with my pictures.

Brionney learned she could go down the slides by herself but they were a bit steep so she didn't always stop at the end. She went flying off the edge and plopped onto her little bottom. She thought this was hysterical.

Jamie loves slides as well. He thought is was funny to run away from me and the camera. Luckily for me, I am faster than my boy... sometimes.

We all got to ride the quads. The kids had a blast.

Brionney spent the weekend with her Uncle Ethan. The whole time she was calling for him and never left his side for long. "Ethan" was the first word on her lips in the morning and the last at night.

Jamie had fun teasing his Grandma and Grandpa and cuddling by the fire.

We had fun and got down and dirty on the way home.

 Love her cheesy grin.

But she was not thrilled with her shower upon returning home.

Best camping trip ever! Hope to do it again next summer.

More Summer

We went to the lake and had a blast.
Jason and I with our two kids, Matthew, Hanna, and Grandpa came.

After tubing for a bit, we stopped off for a swim.Yes even Grandpa got in the water for a bit.

So much FUN!!!

Brionney has a foot fetish. Do not take off your shoes around this girl or they will disappear.
She especially loves Daddy's socks.

She can almost put on her own shoes. It's cute; she undoes both straps instead of just  the ankle strap.

So funny. I was working on the computer and turned around to find this.
She fell asleep standing on her tippy toes.

I tell you any shoe- she will find them and put them on. These are Daddy's old work boots.

Tryking

Jason has a hobby- drift tryking. Take a bike and turn into a tryke (about $30) then put the back tires into PVC pipe so they get no traction. Find a curved hill. We went with him and a few friends several weeks back. I did not go but took lots of pictures. It was a lot of fun. Jamie even got a few turns riding down the hill with Daddy.
 Jamie patiently waiting his turn.

Jason and a friend being towed back up the hill for another ride.

A friend took a spill on his way down. No worries, no one was hurt. Perfect shot though.

Jason coming down.
I have several videos but they never upload right. And many of my pictures were fuzzy because they were moving so fast. But many neighbors came outside to watch all the action. We had a blast.

Crazy socks

Aunt Hanna is known for her  crazy socks.

I found sock crazy socks Brionney's size and couldn't resist.
We had a fashion show for all the crazy socks. Not to be left out, Jamie joined in the fun.

Interesting though, the socks fit Jamie better than B, although the package said they were her size. Jamie also got new socks, though not crazy, and they fit B better than Jamie even though they were labelled as his size. What the heck?

Busy Summer

We went to the Pioneer Day activities at the park for the 24th of July celebration.
See the big gash in her lip!?!

We had some watermelon and ice cream sandwiches.

Then we played on the playground.

Jamie swam in the dunk tank while it was being emptied.
Brionney did not like this part.

After we got home, we helped Hanna wash the dog, Jean.

That didn't last long.

So we had a water fight.
