Christmas Eve Jamie's second tooth finally broke through, allowing us to have a pleasant weekend. Look close and you can see it.
Jamie received this Johnny Jumper for Christmas and loved it. He spun himself around and just kinda swung around in circles. As long as we were playing with him and giving him attention he was happy. He just wasn't fond of it when we walked away, leaving him to play alone.
We arrived home Sunday evening, after an awesome weekend. I don't mind packing for trips and vacations, it's the clean up that I detest. We had loads of laundry and Christmas goodies to put away. But we survived and all is now in it's place. My project this week is to take down all the Christmas decorations. Our last load of laundry, YAY!!!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day Jamie was the first one awake at 5:30 AM. The rule is that Mom and Dad won't get up until 7:00 AM. So after Jamie took his meds and ate his breakfast, we still had about forty minutes to spare. Jason's siblings were not in the mood to party, so Jason, Jamie, and I sat up talking until almost 7, when Jamie fell back asleep, much to our dismay. Lucky for us, he only slept about ten minutes and then we were up waking the rest of the house.

Jamie received rings and a train from Santa Claus. Both were big hits.

Between his parents, grandparents, and all his aunts and uncles, Jamie received a TON of presents this year. Cloths, bibs, toys galore, a matching blanket with Dad, a johnny jumper, and sippy cups, and so much more.

I received a baking stone, many books, a couple gift cards, scrapbok paper, plates, pancake mix and syrup, and Chipman plaque for our wall, and more.

Jason received a shot gun. I had him shocked! He had no idea. The look on his face when he saw it was PRICELESS! Man, I am good. Anyway, he received bullets for his gun, clothing, a game card for World of Warcraft, giftcards, a matching blanket with Jamie, a CD, a new Cowboy hat, and much more.

We had a very good Christmas this year. We were surrounded by family and filled with the Spirit of Christmas. Thank you everyone for everything. We had an awesome weekend. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May this next year bring peace and blessings for all. We love you.

Christmas Eve

Jason is still working in Las Vegas. He was suppossed to be working Christmas Eve, but much to our surprise and pleasure, he was able to get it off. So we headed up to Orem early Christmas Eve Day. Chipman Family tradition is dinner and a movie Christmas Eve; however, Jamie is not ready for the theatres yet. So while the family went to the theatre, Jamie and I spent the night with Aunt Donna and her family until the movie let out. Another tradition is Chistmas pajamas. Jamie did really good opening his. After he got the paper in his hand he tried to eat it but with Daddy's help he was able to open them almost by himself.
Jason received a nice pair of sweat pants and all us girls (Jason's Mom and two sisters) received matching pajamas.
After reading a christmas book and the Christmas story if was off to bed to await the visit of St. Nick.

We got snow a few weeks ago, maybe an inch? Jason was not excited and therefore, stayed in bed. But this was Jamie's first snowfall, we had to document the experience and enjoy it. It was freezing of course so we only stayed outside a few minutes. I scraped up a snowball for him to hold but he just looked at me like I was crazy. But he was happy for a few minutes. This morning we are waiting for our email from Matthew who is on his mission. Anytime I do anything that involves his Uncle Matt, either email or writing a letter, Jamie kicks up a fuss. We call it his Uncle Matt Radar. This morning he's playing well, but it won't last for long.

Thanksgiving weekend, Jamie was playing with his Aunt Hanna when she discovered his tooth. If you look close you can see it. It's the front left on the bottom. It's hard to see but he won't let me get closer with my camera. Oh, well. His second tooth is trying to come up but it keeps going back down. Hopefully it'll break through soon and give him some relief. It won't be too much longer he's drooling like no other, as you can see by his soaked bib and pants.

My baby is getting big! We took down the cradle this past weekend and pulled out the high chair.
He got so excited when I gave him some toys to play with. He did great for about 30 minutes before he started getting restless.

Bath

Alright, Jamie has had baths in kitchens sinks, bathroom sinks, and in his baby bath seat, but never IN a bathtub. This weekend we fixed that. He had just had a shower that morning when he turned around and dirtied himself up again. So, Jason took him upstairs and I cleaned up the mess. Then I went upstairs and found this. He played with all his bath toys, not just the ones he could hold. He had so much fun. He's growing so fast.
Look how tiny he looks in the tub!

Thanksgiving

We had a blast Thanksgiving weekend. Tina and Travis with their families were able to come. Jonathan and Camille were not able to come this year and Matthew is on his mission, but we decided to get a family shot anyway. Can you believe there are so many of us?

These three are the newest additions to our family. Aren't they cute?

It was a very fun and exciting weekend. Jamie had fun with all his cousins to keep him entertained, though it wore him out I think. It was great to see everyone happy and well. We love you everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Horseback Riding

That's right. I have finally caved. Jamie had his first horseback ride this past Thanksgiving weekend. He loved it, as you can see by the smile on his face. They circled the field before coming back. It was only a few minutes, but they liked it anyway.

Jamie's pictures

Last weekend, Jason and I had our own little photo shoot.
These two came out the best and are my favorites. Grandma Chipman brought Jamie this Halloween outfit.
Though you can't see his ears, Jamie was a bear in this costume.
And the rest of the time, while Mom and Dad were trying to get good pictures, Jamie was doing this.
Laughing and squirming.Watching TV And staring into space, wondering why Mom and Dad are still trying.

My Son

I was finishing up the dishes Sunday afternoon when I heard Jamie laughing. Jason had him going hard. I asked what he was doing to my poor baby and he just laughed told me to bring the camera. This is what I found. It was the tale end of his little episode, but I think it's too cute not to share. Make sure your volume is turned up a bit.

Sucker

Grandpa Christensen is the greatest. He gave Jamie his first sucker. It was a blueberry tootsie pop. While I was scrambling for the camera, Jamie grabbed Grandpa's hand and helped himself. He was a mess! But he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Jamie is one quick learner, he didn't need Grandpa's help for long. He'll definitely be needing a bath.

Photo Shoot

Jamie and I were out in Hurricane today. We thought it might be fun to play around a bit and take some pictures of Jamie for Halloween and Fall. Mom has the house decorated for Thanksgiving so we pulled out the camera. These are some of my favorites. I'm no professional, but not too bad. Grandma and Grandpa made good assistants, thanks guys.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everybody!
Thanks for the costumes Tina. We were M&M's this year for Halloween. We received many compliments on them.

Yesterday Jason's parents came down to see us for the weekend. In spirit of the holiday, we celebrated by making spiders for our spider webs.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to set up our car for the trunk-or-treat before we were bombarded with trick-or-treaters. So our spiders will have to wait until next year for their big debut. But we had fun anyway. Jamie had fun with them too.
After the trunk-or-treat and our chili dinner we came back home and Jason blew some fireballs. This was the best one. It's darker than I thought but it's there, just wait for it.

Waffles

Jamie had his first waffle. He's starting to grab at our food so we decided to include him at meal times. He didn't eat much but he loved playing with it. He just teared it into tiny pieces but he had fun.

All's well

Today was Jamie's check-up. He's been on his new medication for eight days now. His skin is all clear but for small patches on his legs and arms. He's to keep on the ointment for three more days, then he's done. But the oil is to keep going until it's all gone, maybe just a week or two. But no more Benadryl, unless he scratches then he's back on.
His acid reflux is doing well. He only spits up a little after each feeding. He no longer gushes all the time. YAY!!! Those medications will continue probably about five more months for sure, longer if necessary.
Jamie is a whole new baby. He's much more relaxed. He doesn't require my attention every second. His cries are even different. He doesn't scream in the car anymore. I no longer dread using the car. He's like a whole new baby. It'll take some time for both of us to adjust to this new lifestyle. I am sooo looking forward to it.

Peas

What is it about vegetables that make so much mess? Breastmilk doesn't create a mess. His pears and rice create a little mess around his mouth but nothing worth mentioning. But peas!?! It was all over his face, his bib, his chair, my hand, on his clothes . . . IT WAS EVERYWHERE! But he enjoyed them very much.

Jamie had his Doctor's appointment this past Tuesday. Jamie, true to his nature, spit up all over me when we got to the exam room. The nurse freaked about the amount, then kinda laughed and said that it was probably the reason we were there. HELLO! Why could no one else see that? The Doctor came next. When I showed him Jamie's skin he was shocked it was so bad. I smiled and said that it was actually looking really good. He smiled back and gave me two prescriptions. Oil in the morning and ointment at night. So because he's so oily and lubricated now we keep him completely covered as much as possible so it'll soak in and keep off blankets and sheets. Four days later, he's looking amazing. The benadryl keeps him really calm and mellow most of the time, but he's hasn't scratched himself bloody since. His skin is at least 70% better. We go back next Wednesday and that Doctor is going to see a brand new baby.

As for his acid reflux, we have two prescriptions for that also. He hasn't spit up nearly so much. Usually just a couple small gushes within an hour of eating. If it didn't get any better than this I would be very happy. But still it's getting better everyday. He is doing awesome. I love this new Doctor! As I said before, we go back next Wednesday. I can't wait to thank him. Jamie is a whole new baby. He's happy and content as opposed to fussy and restless.

Can you find the Baby?

We have so much fun when Jason comes home. He can get Jamie laughing and happier than I ever can. I guess I'm old news. But Jason is an awesome Dad. They get into all kinds of fun. Jamie loves to be thrown in the air, buried in pillows, pillow fights, and trips to Home Depot with Dad.

Jamie is hiding.
Tickle time.He loves his Dad and all the funny faces he makes.
