A Warning to all Mothers

Remember this little guy? The cute, cuddly tike you just couldn't get enough of? He'd curl up on your shoulder to sleep. He was nice and quiet and content to stay in one place.
Well, Mothers beware- THIS DOES NOT LAST!
Before you know it, you've got yourself a little monster.

They string your yarn throughout the house.

They leave their toys all over.

Tiolet paper is the coolest thing EVER!

They love noise makers. They love them even more when they open up.

Instead of sleeping, they redecorate their bedroom.

Some clothes over here.

Some more clothes over there.

TADA!
They smile so proudly while showing you the results.

No cereal for me thanks, this brown sugar will be plenty.

Word to the wise: Watch them very closely.

I don't know when, how or why it starts,

but once it does you'd better watch your back.

Oh, could this day get any better?

Headaches

This is why Mommy's get headaches.

But we're Moms so we shake our heads, give "The Look", help them clean it up, and go back to doing our homework.

Coupons

Tina and I met up this afternoon at The Children's Place. She had a coupon and they were having a sale. Jamie now has some new Sunday clothes for next winter. He has khaki and navy slacks and 2 sweaters. He also has some new slippers as well. His clothes were all $5 a peice and his slippers were $3, plus 15% off, I saved over $3. Yay for me. Then we went over to Walmart. I bought a Sunday paper last week and I wanted to see how much I was really saving. Being that I don't buy most of the stuff anyway, maybe it's not for me. But I did get some BIZ and some M&M's. Total, these items costs $9.50. I got them for $3.50. Yay for me! Thanks for your help Tina.

Big Trouble

Jamie and I were eating a Popsicle last week. He kept pulling the funniest faces. I'm thinking it was a tad cold.
It was fun.

And then the next day, I was on the computer. Jamie was running his car up and down the wall, making car noises and laughing. It was cute and funny and I didn't think twice about it. And then I realized that the sound had changed.

My Son had found himself a pencil.

Being we have flat paint, there was nothing I could really do about it. But he lost all coloring and drawing privileges for the day and took a turn on the Happy Chair. He then spent five minutes trying to clean it off with a wet rag. Lucky me, my sister had some suggestions. I was able to scrub most of it (and some paint) away with dish soap, leaving only slight marks.
The next day, I ran upstairs leaving my little boy alone for a few minutes. He climbed onto the computer chair, retrieved that same pencil and went to town.
Luckily, he had not been up there too long or it would have been much worse.

He spent a much longer spell on the Happy Chair.
And baby wipes are amazing- not even a smudge left.

Freeze!

Jamie's new 'cold' face.

And we're off on another week.
I already have two reading assignments due Tuesday. School starts tomorrow. YAY for me.
Jamie has learned a new word: YAH. His new answer to everything is YAH. Does he want a cookie? yah. Is he a good boy? yah. Is he a bad boy? yah. Does he need help? yah. Does he want to go to Grandma and Grandpa's? yah. EVERYTHING! We've had some fun with that.
He has also started to do a freeze pose. He stiffens his body with his hands out to his sides and pulls his lips down. Funny funny funny. We finally got some pictures of this just to find out we had no memory stick in the camera. So, you'll have to wait. Trust me it is SO worth the wait. They are hilarious.

New Years

Jason's family decided to join us for New Years. His parents, Tashina, and Natalie all came down Thursday and Friday. We exchanged some more Christmas presents. Jamie was thrilled with all his new toys. His favorite was this race car track. It came with 2 cars and 2 people to drive, but Jamie quickly filled the track with other cars and farm animals he had received.

Watching the cars go around and crash.
Cute little smile.

Mom and Dad received giftcards. We bought Dad some new work boots with them. However, Jamie quickly took them over as his. Mom bought another book. Mom also received a digital picture frame. So cool, I was finally able to load some pictures and get it up today.

New Years Eve, we all stayed up eating junk food and playing games. At midnight we went out to the street and Tashina played the New Years song (no idea what it's called) on her bag pipes. It was pretty cool, she even got some applause from our neighbors. Awesome.

Happy New Years everyone.

I have one last week of freedom before school starts again. Jason starts his new job this week. And Jamie stayed in nursery the whole time today at church. Awesome.

Merry Christmas

We went to Hurricane for Christmas this year. After opening our Christmas Eve present of new PJ's, it was off to bed.

Jamie modeling his new Buzz Lightyear PJ's.
We decided that 6:30 AM was the earliest we'd wake up the next morning. We finally climbed out of bed at 7. Jamie woke up on his own shortly after we all got up. YAY, a happy baby.
Hanna and Jamie anxiously waiting to see what Santa left for them.
After digging through his stocking, he decided to take a break and eat the raisins Santa left for him.

Jamie received lots and lots of toys, a coloring book, a notebook and pens, magnets, a bouncy ball, and a blanket with his name on it.

Daddy received Cataclysm, beenies for work, and some candy bars.

Mommy received two books, bobby pins, a lettuce knife, and some candy bars.

After opening all our presents, Jamie got another haircut, with Grandma and Emily's help.

December

Tina and her family came to see us. After our Mac 'n' Cheese lunch, Tina helped me with a last minute Christmas gift. Maddie and Emily made gingerbread houses. Hunter, Kory, and Jason played the Wii. Jamie and Brayden ate candy and kept each other preoccupied. We had a blast, we'll have to do it again sometime.

This year we decided to do an edible tree. Everything we put on the tree was able to be eaten (except the lights). We strung Fruit Loops, threaded ribbon with pretzels, hung candy canes and apples. The apples were fake, but they represented the real thing so it worked. Later on we added Caramel popcorn balls as well, but this was after the picture was taken. For the first time in 3 years, our Ward Christmas Party had a Special Visitor. Yep, Santa came and Jamie was not impressed. He didn't even want the candy cane Santa offered.
