Tomatoes

Last Friday we finally decided what to plant. Can someone please tell me why one tomato plant costs $3, but six cost $2? Obviously, we bought six, but only five fit in our flower bed. So we got a topsy turvy.
Our porch has almost no sunlight so hanging it on the house was not an option. So Jason, my super-smart handyman of a husband, built this contraption for it. Jamie was real good through all this. He loved playing with the shovel and rake. And then we turned the water on . . . He wasn't sure about it at first, being it was cold. But as you can see, he loved playing it in and making a mess.

Finger painting

Last night, Jamie and I decided to get down and dirty. I had some left over pudding that needed eaten so Jamie and I ate it. And what we didn't eat we smeared on a piece of paper. I gave him bites of pudding now and then, and he looked a bit skeptical when he saw me playing in it. But he eventually got the concept and we had fun. It was funny to watch him try and feed himself. He couldn't pick it up to get into his mouth, but he sure tried and tried.
This past weekend Tashina, Natalie, and Ethan came down for a visit. We had so much fun. We attampted to go swimming in our pool, but it was FREEZING! So instead we went to the Washington Rec Center. It was awesome! The water was warm, the slide was totally cool, and Jamie loved the Lazy River. We, girls, went shopping but found nothing worth mentioning, and the boys went paintballing bringing home a few welts. Jamie cut his sixth tooth, finally. And all three boys (Jason, Jamie and Ethan) had some serious bonding time.

(Video is having issues, check back later.)

We had lots of fun having family down, hopefully, it won't be to long before we can get together again.

School

I am going back to school. Summer classes start June 1. I am so excited. I have been super busy these last two weeks getting everything in order for the colleges. After I complete these two summer classes, I will transfer to the Univ of Utah for the Fall and start the Social Work program. I've turned in all my paperwork. I am just awaiting my acceptance letter from the U, but I'm hopeful. When classes start the only semester I will have off will be the summer of 2011. Luckily, classes will be held via satellite here in St. George. I will be super busy, but I am so excited.

Dance

Jamie loves to dance. I finally got a good video with his facial expressions. I have no idea what it was that got him going, but watch out!

The Boys

Speaking of 'The Boys' as Tina so fondly called them, here are some more pictures that are too cute not to share:

Jamie was nice enough to share his Easter eggs with his cousin, Brayden. It's actually surprising,
with as much mischief these boys get into at home,
they were really good this past weekend.

Jamie's birthday cake

So over the past weekend, Tina, Christina, and I got to talking about what we will be doing for our kid's birthdays. We are going to have a family party here at home. But I do want something special - cake. Jamie loves playing with his legos, so I am going to make him a Lego birthday cake. I figured I'd start practicing now so I don't mess up the real one. This is what I came up with:I think it's hideous. The knobs are too big, so next time I'll use large marshmallows. Frosting is a pain to get smooth, so I'm thinking fondant. The cake itself is too flat, so I'll do a double decker to hopefully get a more lego-like shape. And the color is dull but I'm not sure how I will fix that. But I know the real cake will be three different colors, defining the three legos. All in all, not bad for my first try.

Jamie

For those of you who have never met him: Jamie loves to scream. When he gets excited or happy he just has to let one go. (Hint: make sure your volume isn't too loud.)

Jamie also dances to any and all music he hears: radio, TV, someone singing, background music in the store, church, etc. It is hilarious to watch. He's just too cute. Sorry about the poor lighting, we were watching a movie. If you look close you can see his big grin, he's so proud of himself and so happy! I love it!

Smile

These are the three babies that will be turning one this year. They are growing so fast!(Sorry, about the spot on Brayden's head, dust on the lens.)These are all the Christensen Grandkids:(Left to right) Emily, Jamie, Maddie, Elena, Carlaya, Hunter, Brayden, Noah, AllieThis is all of us (Matt is still on his mission). Can you name us all?

What was I thinking?

Christina and I were sitting at the table watching our babies play when Dad came in from outside. He told us to grab our babies and come outside. So dummy us grab our babies and head outside. Meet Dad's new toy. A cart connected to the back of the fourwheeler. Christina and I laugh, jump on in babies and all and off we go. Dad gave us a ride all the way down the driveway. We were halfway back when Christina and I suddenly looked at each other. Why are WE testing this thing out with our BABIES in tow!?! Luckily nothing happened. We were perfectly safe. Jamie wasn't to keen with the wind in his face. We ended the trip with his face buried in my neck and his arms tight around my neck. Elena on the other hand didn't seem to mind at all. I even caught her smiling a time or two.

Easter

This past weekend was awesome, all of my family was able to come up. It was Jamie's first Easter, he didn't understand his Easter basket or the Easter Egg Hunt, but Jason and I had fun. This is what the Easter Bunny brought Jamie. The stuffed animals came from GG's pile of scrap fabric she was handing out awhile back. Inside his eggs were animal crackers. But Jamie's favorite part was all that grass in the bottom of the basket. I'll be finding the stuff everywhere forever, I'm sure. And his big red ball is still missing, probably left at Grandma's. Oh well.
I don't know what he thought of the Egg Hunt itself, but he loved playing with the eggs.He was able to collect quite a few eggs, which he shared with his cousins.
