Jason's Birthday

Last week was Saint Patrick's Day. I woke up early and made a GREEN breakfast.
Jason and Jamie woke up to green milk, sausage, green eggs,
green blueberry muffins, and pistachio pudding.

It was awesome. And I was the only one in my class to eat a green breakfast.
Where are their Holiday spirits? I love holidays!

Jamie was NOT frowning or angry in this picture. He just happened to glance
away as I took the picture. He loved his green breakfast.

Hanna came to spend the weekend with us. Jason and I went out on a date without Jamie- our first in a long time. We saw The Adjustment Bureau. AWESOME!!! Loved it. It's definitely going on our list of movies to buy.
While we were out, Hanna and Jamie decided to play with my books. I messed with her books a few weeks ago so I guess I had it coming. They also short sheeted our bed and changed my dresser drawers around.

It only took an hour or two to fix. And just to spite her, I put them all up backwards so A was last and Z was first. HA HA.
It quickly drove us both crazy so I changed it.

Jason's birthday was Sunday. Jamie wanted to color so we brought out a peice of butcher paper and colored with him. Jason made himself a good-looking B-day crown.
Good-looking Stud.

He got new pants, sunflower seeds, pictures for his wallet, and a book.

Hanna found my wedding dress.
I can't believe it fit! She did look gorgeous.

When I grow up . . .

Jamie was supposed to stay in bed and take a nap. He fussed at the gate for a few minutes and then we started hearing the noise. We'd sneak upstairs and peak to make sure he was still ok. After about two hours I snuck up to see if he was asleep yet. We hadn't heard anything for a while. NOPE. He was sittting by the drawers under the window looking around. Thirty minutes later, Jason went up and laid him on the bed where he fell asleep within seconds of hitting the pillow.
We gave him a few minutes to make sure he was really asleep before going up to assess the damage.

These were the initial crashes- the car and batting.

Luckily he hadn't emptied all the drawers. He even left his boxes of clothes alone which is very suprising because he loves getting into those.

The closet was the biggest crash of all. He pulled down a box of magazines, a bin, the sleeping bag, clothes, the bucket, and the gift bags.

He was just practicing for what he wants to be when he grows up: A MESSMAKER!!!

It's hard work- he slept for three hours. Luckily he's still in training and his mess only took a few minutes to pick up.

Daddy's Home

We have loved Daddy home this weekend. Whenever Jason is home, Jamie is glued to his side.

Jamie loves to watch the computer screen, no matter what we are doing.

Jamie is one smart kid. Jason and I were upstairs and came down to see this. That computer was all put away and zipped up in it's case sitting on the couch. He pulled everything out and turned it on. He even has the mouse on the pad.

He was so proud of himself. He gave us the biggest grin.

This is Jamie's new thing- his coat on backwards. He did this himself by the way.
He loves to suck in his little cheeks too.

Cheetos are his favorite snack.

But he turns orange when he eats them.
We went to Orem last weekend and had a blast. Jamie was a busy boy.

Jamie combed Grandpa's hair for him.

Lookin' good Grandpa!

Jamie played lots of games with Grandpa.

Jamie helped Daddy play the piano.

He blew bubbles with Grandma.

He blew hard!
He showed GG Evans how to pop the bubbles.

He found Grandpa's wagon and insisted Daddy pull him around the yard.

Daddy got tired and rode with him for awhile.

He and Grandpa played with the chickens and dogs after his wagon ride.

Jamie sat with Aunt Sara during breakfast.
We will miss her when she moves back East.

We went to Walmart and found the Jackpot.
Jamie got 7 different colors of turtleneck shirts for $1 a piece. SCORE!
And Mommy found a matching shirt for $3.
However when we got home and I was unpacking I realized all the shirts I picked up were 18 months. HELLO! He's in 18 month now. These were supposed to be for next winter. So much for that bright idea, it'll be in the 70's by this weekend- I think Winter is over.
Oh well. We had a fun weekend, but it's always good to be home.
