Crafty Me

I have finally completed some of my crafty to do list:

Church puzzles for sacramant meeting and FHE. There are ten total.

We made mummies and ghost suckers- Jamie's favorite.

I made letters for the kids room. This was by far the hardest and longest. Knives and modge podge are not my forte and it was completely nerve wracking. But they look awesome!

October

We have had a busy month. I cut my hair again- its so short! But more manageable so I can't complain. I love it.

Jamie loves to play with his cousins- especially on the computer. Jamie is trying not to smile. Ten seconds before I took this picture they both had a blank zombie-like stare on their faces as they were concentrating on the game.

Jason found my craft box. Happy Halloween! Totally creepy.

And Missy B. She is crawling all over the house. She loves to crawl on her swing. Heaven forbid she actually sit in it.

She usually ends up like this. It takes her a few minutes for her to squirm out from behind it but then she starts all over again.

Jamie got to ride in a tractor while the field was being cut.

He talked the entire time and had the biggest grin!

Its been busy but fun.

Happy Halloween

Jamie was a dinosaur this year and loved to wiggle his tail. After receiving his treat at each house his trick was to wiggle his little tail then he was off to the next house. He was a little apprehensive in the beginning but quickly warmed as he realized all that candy was his for the taking.

Miss B was a ballerina. Mom and Dad sprayed our hair bright colors.

We made little mummies filled with candy corn and ghost suckers.

We carved some pumpkins.

Jason carved a dragon. Mine is the awesome dracula with 3D features.
The kids choose three stacked pumpkins- totally cute.

They looked awesome. We had a blast. Happy Halloween.

Ear tubes

Brionney was finally able to get tubes in her ears.
Hopefully she'll be happier now, especially when we travel.
We had to be at the hospital at 6: 30 Monday morning. She was not able to eat anything after midnight. She woke at 5 that morning starving. Lucky us, we only had to keep her happy for an hour before heading to the hospital.

Daddy helped her into her hospital gown. She was the first surgery scheduled that morning.

Our nurse was awesome. Brionney didn't mind the heart monitor or blood pressure cuff.
She just played with her toys.

She got restless when we were waiting and Daddy finally got her to sleep- just as the Doctor rounded the corner to take her away.

She woke up when we put her in her bed to be wheeled out. The anesthesiologist picked her up and cuddled her close as they headed off to surgery. Awesome! She wasn't treated as just another body, she was a hungry and scared baby.
It was the longest 15 minutes ever, but she did wonderful.
When the nurse came to get us we heard her screaming as we walked the halls. The nurses had passed her around and gave her a bottle trying to calm her down until she came off the anesthesia and we were able to be with her. They said she took hold of the bottle until she realized it was only water- then it just ticked her off even more. But she did awesome and we were soon able to bring her back home.
She was tired and a bit cranky for the rest of the day but under the circumstances she did awesome.

Lately . . .

It's official- she can sit on her own.
In a ten minute bath she only slipped once. YAY!!!

And as hard as I tried- she would NOT look at me.
She was having to much fun with her new found freedom in the tub.

And I am seeing a major pattern here.
Seriously more often than not she falls asleep in her chair.

Her big brother quickly woke her back up when he saw she did not finish her cracker.
He insisted she needed to finish her cracker before her nap.
Yes she was asleep but she kept a death grip on that cracker and would not let it go.

We have some visitors at our house.
These four little piggies are visiting for the week until the local 4H club can take them.

Cute and tiny but they squeal like a sqeaky toy and stink to high heaven.
But the kids like to watch them run around.

School starts this week

Guess who can sit up?
Last week she needed this pillow.
This week she can do it on her own- for about ten seconds.
But she's getting better everyday!

Jason got new school clothes- 3 shirts and a new swim suit.
Sticking with tradition we had him model for us.
Jamie helped Jason pick out what to wear first then came running down the hall.
"Boys and Gentlemen! Daddy's getting clothes on. YAY!"

(What he was supposed to say: Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls!
Presenting Daddy in his new clothes!)

And then Jamie was feeling left out so he got into his swimsuit as well.
We didn't have the heart to tell him he had his boxers on instead of his swimsuit.

Then they posed . . .

Super cute Guys! Have fun in school Jason. We love you.
