Cloth Diapers

I have been doing research on cloth diapers for a few months now. I've had the diapers, I just needed the covers. They are made of special fabric which is very expensive. I struck gold when I found a diaper kit for very cheap. This kit came with everything needed to make these covers. However, they only came in hot pink, maroon, and pale pink. So, I headed to Walmart to find some cheap fabric to hide the pink. I found three patterns, all on sale. Two are shown here. I have 13 covers total. However, I still have 5 to make. I am not very good or fast yet on my sewing machine, so it is taking forever!!! But I do enjoy it. In fact, today is the first day using them. We've already been through two already. I'm not sure if they are with it yet or not, we'll see. It's been fun making them.

Las Vegas

For those who don't yet know, Jason got a job. YAY! He started last week in Vegas. Bittersweet, but life goes on and brightside- he has a job so I can't complain. However, we have to decided to put our house up for rent and get an apartment in Vegas. We are done living apart. It's been over a year now. And with Jamie here now, well, Jason won't become a weekend dad if we can help it.
We stayed at Jonathan and Camille's during our visit. Noah and Carlaya looked too cute holding Jamie. Jamie wasn't too thrilled with the idea, but tough luck. Lol, I love Noah's smile, so cute.
We did eventually find an apartment we could live with. It's called Camden Bel Air. 1 bedroom, 1 bath. Not too big, but we don't need that much space between the three of us. And I'd rather be together and a bit squished, than apart with plenty of room. So if you know of anyone looking to rent send them our way- 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath.

Scrapbooking

So with Jason in Arizona and me home with the baby, I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. So I organized some pictures, printed some to hang up and give to people. Then I realized I still hadn't started Jamie's scrapbook. I bought it before I even knew Jamie was Jamie. So without wasting anymore time I got to work. Let me know what you think. This is his hospital page. Welcome to the world buddy. His first sponge bath and first real bath after his belly button fell off.People that love me. I realized I had no good pictures of Jamie and any of his grandparents or me. We'll have to fix that.Jamie has acid reflux so to help him with it, we gave him little bits of yogurt. His first real food.He can sit up on the couch by himself without too much trouble. As long as he can lean against something, he is good to go. Jamie's first big holiday. He did not like waiting for the fireworks, but finally we calmed him down and he enjoyed the show.
This is his Blessing page. It is missing something, though I don't know what yet. The flash caught the four generations picture. Jason's Grandma Evans, his mom Valene, Jason, and Jamie.

Entertainment Center

Jason has been in Arizona this past month with Tina and Kory. Kory had some scrap pieces of wood that was going to be thrown out, so Jason snagged them. His brother, Ethan, came and stayed a week with us shortly after. While he was here helped Jason build an entertainment center with this wood.
I love it. Before we had the TV on a night stand and the DVD player, the surround sound box (?) and the DVDs stakced on canned fruit. So this is much nicer and organized. Thanks Kory for the wood. We love it and it looks so much better.

Jamie's Blessing

Jamie was blessed today by his father. Jason's parents, siblings, his Grandma Evans, and an old mission companion were able to attend. My parents, sibling (except Matthew who is on his mission), Aunt Donna and her family, and Aunt Debbie and her family. It was a beautiful blessing.

Thanks to all those who were able to attend, we are very grateful for your love and support. We love you all and can't wait until we can all get together again. We had a great weekend.

Uncle Matthew, we love you. Sorry you couldn't come, but we felt your love all the way from Pennsylvania. Be good. Be happy. We love you.

Fourth of July

This was Jamie's first Fourth of July. Jason's family came for the weekend and we had a blast. We had waffles and ice cream for breakfast. Then we went to the park for games and activities, though he's a bit young for it all. So we just walked around and watched a Hot Dog eating contest. The winner ate 11 dogs in 12 minutes, and thankfully no one got sick this year. For lunch we BBQed burgers. We tried to go to Dixie Rock to watch fireworks, but they had the road blocked. So instead we stopped off the side of the road and watched with many other St. George dwellers. We got there quite early so while we waited, we had stir fry and salad. Jamie was quite upset while we waited, but happily, he settled down before the show started.
Lo and behold, instead of fireworks only over the city park, the city shot fireworks over Dixie rock as well. Hence, the closed road. It was fantastic. Jamie did very well. He slept through the first half and watched the second half, jumping only once. He didn't cry or fuss the whole show. I'd say it was a total success.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Camping

Last weekend was the Chipman Family Reunion up in Spanish Fork Canyon. Being the "Happy Little Camper" that I am, we stayed the nights at Jason's parents home and just went camping during the day. It was great. Jamie did very well for his first camping experience. He didn't even get a single bug bite, Horray! Jason and I both took our cameras yet we still only ended up taking one picture. Tashina had bought Jamie some cute little clothes. Along with the clothes was this very attractive hat.

He'll grow into eventually. But he really is adorable. During this trip he met all of his father's family. They have four generations of boys now, Great Grandpa Chipman, Grandpa Chipman, Daddy Chipman, and Baby Chipman. Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture. But overall, it was a fun weekend.
