Baby Shower

Yesterday was my baby shower and the best one ever, I think. I hate playing a bunch of silly games just to pass the time. So my wonderful sisters, Tina and Hanna, planned the perfect baby shower. Friends and family came to our open house, ate some muffins and fruit, and made the baby hair bows to match her outfits! I had a blast and hope everyone else did as well. We got a lot of cute bows. Thanks to everyone for your creative and cute bows for our baby girl. Here are just a few people who came:

Sheri, the soon-to-be Mommy again

Christina, Hanna, Natalie, Sara

GG and Grandma Christensen

Grandma Chipman, Tina, and Emily
Vic and Cindy from school

Jamie had a blast playing with all of his cousins.

He loved playing inside the gift bags as well.

Thanks Tina and Hanna.

We have had lots of fun during our break. Jamie has had several rides on the horses.

My afternoon project of making baby bumpers turned into a week long project.

I finally finished them this afternoon and I love them.

I saw myself in the mirror last night and had to take a picture.

No denying it- there is definitely a very big girl in there. Could I possibly get any bigger? We are down to 5 weeks and 5 days until her due date. YAY!

Christmas

Santa Claus found us at Grandma's house. Jamie got a stuffed Mickey Mouse and a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. He also got very spoiled by his Grandma and Grandpa and his aunts. He got clothes, blankets, cars, games, and a stocking full of sweets.

Mom and Dad got a new TV- love it!!! Jason also got a gun safe and other goodies. I got a new camera (LOVE IT) and other awesome stuff as well. We also received lots of things for the baby- blankets, clothes, carseat canopy, nursing cover, and bows. All cute and will be used well when the baby comes.

However by the time dinner came along... He didn't get to finish. He had a late night and early morning with a rough night in between.

Grandma was at the edge of her seat all afternoon with a death grip on the phone waiting for Ethan to call.

He finally called and was able to talk to everyone.

Jamie talked Grandpa into playing with him and all his new cars and toys.

As much fun as we always have at Grandma and Grandpa's house,

it is always great to be home.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning, we went out to Mount Pleasant for a Chipman Reunion breakfast. We had lots of fun. On the way out there we watched the temperature drop all the way down to zero degrees. It was cold with some snow on the ground to say the least.

Later that night, we went to look at Christmas lights.

GG Evans

It was cold but there was no wind so it was tolerable.

Tashina and Jamie

We all had fun warming up by the fires. Needless to say, Jamie had more fun running to each new firepit than looking at the lights.

We had fun and had even more fun getting warmed up with hot chocolate when we got back home.

Christmas with the Christensen's

Before going to Orem for the holiday, we had Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen, Hanna, and Matt.

Jason and I received this homemade quilt from my parents. I love it!

It's bright and bold and fits us perfectly.

Jamie received a new book.

He also got a Lightning McQueen race car seat. (This picture will NOT turn, sorry.) He was too busy playing to pose for a picture. The sides fold up to create arm rests and the hood becomes the seat. It has a steering wheel in the back that he is holding onto. It also talks to you and quotes famous lines from the movie. He played with it all night long and wanted to sleep with it but for obvious reasons this Mom and Dad said no.

Grandpa received sunflower seeds from Jamie this year. Grandma and Grandpa got more scrapbook pages as well as a digital picture frame from us and Tina. We had Hanna this year so we gave her some new books.

Merry Christmas!

Long time no see...

This past month has been really crazy.

Jason and I have both finished this semester of school. We are hopeful for good grades, but will know for sure in the next week or so. For now we are content to relax and enjoy our short break. I am finally getting around to all my little projects I've had to put off the last few months.

Jamie is loving all the Christmas lights in our apartment. Suprisingly, he does not bother the presents under the tree. The candy canes are another story. He is still in love with Mickey Mouse, chocolate milk, and cars. He continues to shadow his dad and grandpa at every opportunity.

The baby is growing big and I am huge! Doc says all is well and 9 weeks to go. We have officially decided to name her Brionney Valene, unless something tells us differently in the hospital, in which the baby will be named Jesse James.

Last weekend, we went up to SLC for a friend's wedding. We stayed with Travis and Christina and had a blast. Jamie talks about playing with Elena everyday. While we were there I had the brilliant idea (never a good thing) of visiting Temple Square and showing Jamie all the lights. Being the reception was held in a church just a few blocks from the temple we decided to go for it. 90 minutes later we finally reached a parking lot. It was cold but there was no wind so it wasn't too bad. However, we all got a good laugh about the idiots protest the carriage rides. The signs read "Animal cruelty!!" "Over worked horses in bolt" I don't know about you, but I have better things to do with my time than stand out in the cold with ludicrous arguments like these. But they gave us all a good laugh so I won't complain too loudly. We still had fun and got some good pictures.

Jamie was too busy looking at all the lights to pay the camera any attention.

My family. Do I even look pregnant?

Thanks for a great weekend guys!

We received many compliments on our cute "twins." Even though they are three months apart, they really do look alike. They have the same eyes, very similar noses, and are about the same height.

We had a good weekend but are very glad to be home. We are ready for Christmas and excited to be able to go back up for the holiday.

Happy Halloween

We had GG come for a visit Sunday afternoon. We decided to make the most of it and convinced her to let us paint her nails. Being Halloween was the next day we pulled out the brightest orange we had. Lucky for her, it wasn't too bright. I think I need this little girl to get here quickly. Jamie had his nails painted too. He was a skeleton this year so we painted his nails white. Grandpa, GG pa, and Uncle Matt just laughed and ran away before we could pretty them up too. Karen, our foreign exchange student, celebrated her first Halloween with us this year. Hope she had fun. She must think I'm crazy to paint my boy's nails though. Oh well, Jamie likes it.

We had our traditional dinner of Halloweenies.

Then we packed up and went to Saint George to trick-or-treat at the malls. Jamie was a skeleton. Jason was half'n'half of something.

He got a kinds of looks and comments from fellow students at school and his coworkers.

They looked good and we had a blast.

Happy Halloween!!!
